Teresa's Place Adult Daycare Center - Coming Soon!

“Compassionate Care Without Institutional Walls.”
In addition to providing compassionate community-based care, Teresa’s Place™ is committed to advancing innovation in dementia care through program development, policy collaboration, and pilot research initiatives aimed at improving services for families across Illinois.

Innovation in Dementia Care
Teresa’s Place™ Adult Daycare Center is developing innovative community-based solutions for individuals living with moderate to severe Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Our center is the proposed pilot site for several integrated care frameworks designed to improve dementia care delivery and caregiver support in Illinois, including:
  • Teresa's Place SUCCESS Framework™ – A structured program philosophy guiding individualized engagement and support for participants living with moderate to severe dementia.
• Illinois Adult Care Plan™ (IACP) – A structured care planning framework designed to align programming, goals, and caregiver collaboration based on a participant’s stage of dementia.
• One Door Illinois™ (ODI) – A proposed centralized navigation concept designed to simplify how families access dementia-related services and community supports.
Together, these initiatives aim to improve care coordination, enhance caregiver support, and strengthen community-based dementia care systems across Illinois.

ABOUT
Teresa’s Place Adult Daycare Center, INC is a compassionate, community-based care center designed for adults with severe dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other cognitive impairments. Founded by La Tanya Y. Owens, a former Assistant Principal turned full-time caregiver, our center was born out of lived experience and a deep belief in dignified, personalized care.

Unlike traditional institutions, Teresa’s Place provides 1-on-1 support in a safe, non-institutional setting, allowing families to keep loved ones at home while ensuring they receive expert-level attention during the day. We serve Glen Ellyn, IL, and surrounding communities with a mission to honor aging with purpose, empathy, and excellence.

At Teresa’s Place, we believe every adult deserves an individualized care plan, much like the IEP model in schools — and we’re leading the movement to make that a reality in senior care.Welcome to Compassionate Care Without Institutional Walls.
